Many students would like to have a time in where they can catch up on various things in school. We want study hall to do just that. It will not be manditory class. we want students to have a choice whether they want a gym period or a study hall. Today, gym class is get worse and worse. People are being made fun of for being overweight or of not being athletic. The reason why we propose study hall is because gym class, to many people, is pointless. Study hall will be a period where students are supervised by a teacher so that students have the opportunity to study, to do their homework, or to catch up on their reading. Public schools throughout Massachusetts have a study hall period so why don’t we.
